You may need to try some different different combo's of drugs to find what works for you to give you relief but try and also vent when ever you need to as that is what a support group is for.
If we can't vent among ourselves who the hell can we vent to.

My understanding is that it is spasticity and that the muscles in my lower legs are constantly tensed up, and possibly slowing down the circulation to my legs and feet. When I need to use the muscles they are already tired so they become fatiged easily and then the nerves get sensitive and hurt.
I take Zanafled and Lunesta when I go to bed - the Zanaflex puts me to sleep and loosens the muscles and the Lunesta keeps me asleep through most of the night.
I have been going to Aqua Therapy for a long time now and the exercise does help - it allows more blood to flow to my muscles which are spastic and always tensed up. My therapist also does "trigger pointing" which means that she digs her thumbs into the tight muscles to loosen them up. It hurts, but not any worse then my legs already hurt, and done often enough it can really help.
Good luck to you, I know how hard this can be to live with.
I know exactly what you are talking about. I suffered from this for several months and it was horrible. It got better after I was on Copaxone for a couple of months and it will still flare up at times but never as severe as it was prior to going on the shots.
For the life of me, I could not figure out what on earth could be causing such a mixture of symptoms from my knees down and it takes a toll on a body dealing with constant pain. But, you already know that!
There are other meds along the lines of neurontin that you may not respond to with the brain fog. Maybe you should ask your Dr about trying another one of those. The one I can remember are Topamax but I know there are more.
Many people get relief from Lyrica too.
But, your Dr should be very aware of these symptoms and have an idea of what to do for it.
I hope you are able to get some relief. The only thing that really helped me when it was so bad was one of the cooling gels and also the aqua therapy machines but those treatments can end up being costly.
