I just started tecfidera a few weeks ago.. And last night, I started a bad relapse and my right leg seems a little clumbsy and not normal. I took gileniya for a month and had a bad relapse also. It seems like my body rejects ms drugs :( don't know what to do :(

i took tysabri for 3.5 years and it was assumed that any relapse that happenedd in the first year was from damage that was done before starting tysabri--you seem to be slightly quick on the trigger by not giving the meds time to reach full effectiveness--sounds like you have ms and your having a relapse ...So? they know how to treat a relapse --hello steroids...no medication stops relapses theyu just slow them.

UPDATE: feeling about 80% better and still hopeful about Tecfidera. :) planning to give myself more time on 25% dosing.

I seemed to walk worse when I started tec also. But I read that it could happen that some ms symptoms may get worse but then go back. I went "back" a week or 2 later. I wasn't worried cause we are now putting a new"poison" in our bodies. Every time I threw up 2x a day for 2 months I told myself it will get better and NO more needles I was not giving up. This is my 8th month and doing good. Stick with it....it's so worth it.

I agree with others. Keep up with the Tecfidera. Give yourself 6 months to a year and then have another MRI and see if there has been stabilization or improvements. I'm glad to see that you wrote in that you were feeling better. I hope this trend continues.

Thank you all for your support. It gives me hope! Punky you're so brave to face throwing up everyday for two months! I am glad to hear it has passed and you are doing well :)
