Dissociative identity disorder is a diagnosis described as the existence in an individual of two or more distinct identities or personalities, each with its own pattern of perceiving and interacting with the environment. You poor things : )
this is a good place for all of you to come and just be yourselves. Be welcome and chat with people either here or in Messages - even if there is a bit of lag in the conversations :)

Thank you, we will. Would you mind if I messaged you?
So, if people do not believe you tell them to do some research.
I hope this site helps you. It's been a tremendous support for me.
One of my friends believes me 100% without research, of course he noticed that I was switching and let me know what was going on.
Of the other 4 friends, 2 just want to support me. And the other 2 don't believe me. I will tell them to do research the next time it comes up.
This site has been really helpful. I need people to talk to about this.
please be comfortable messaging me when ever you feel like it
Hope u find lots of support here.
It can be hard when people don't believe you. It is a rare enough condition that people don't understand what it is and they think of Hollywood movies that are really extreme.
Glad you are here
I am finding lots of support here. I have seen some Hollywood movies and they are not the best source of information, at all.
I'm glad I'm here too :)
I don't know, I know there are 4 - that I know. Me and 2 others suspect that there is another one, that a third seems to know about but isn't sharing. So 5 at least.
It is certainly odd. I am 24, female, and lesbian; however, there is one who says he's 35. His name is Ash and he is an asexual gay man. There is Mara, who is 18/19, she can't decide on her age and she is queer+ ( I say plus, because as long as it is sentient, consenting, and a good person, she will sleep with them). Then their is Fae, who is 10, and I have no idea about her sexual orientation. And then their is Baby, who is 5, and female.
Fae describes there being different systems, which has caused some problems. Ash, Mara, and Baby are all in one system, so they can communicate easily with each other, and with me. Fae is in her own system (possibly with the 5th alter, who I think is named Max and is male?) which was difficult because at first Fae couldn't communicate with anyone else.
Of course, not everyone believes me. 2 of the friends that I have told, don't.
Do you have any other questions?
