I've found that dating with two folks who have similar problems doesn't work too well. Too much potential for misunderstanding. Perhaps just because I keep quiet about my history with DID, and I don't lose time as much as I used to, I find it easier and less confusing to date someone who doesn't have the same problems I do. Which isn't the same as saying that I made the right choice for everyone. Not that there is necessarily a "right" choice that is universal. I hope I haven't confused you too much.

So far I had no trouble dating one...but they wanted to get married and I didn't. and with another, a couple of the more dominate alters seemed to feel I was an outsider --which I was -- and would be a threat to their influence over the host. so that one didn't work out either, even though I had a lot of support from some other of the alters. It was just too complex and too complicated.
