Dissociative identity disorder is a diagnosis described as the existence in an individual of two or more distinct identities or personalities, each with its own pattern of perceiving and interacting with the environment. same with clothes and music and friends and hobbies and stuff... always fighting for power..
and that is what i want us to achieve. all of us being contempt with the one life and the one body that we have. all of us living according to the same rules. that, and triggers not dissociating us so i can stay that person that i need to become, and not always lose time.
i dont think integration is possible in the sense that my inners will go away. they have been burned in my brain. it's my nature to be we. i dont think that's ever going to go away. but it's just my opinion.. people say integration is possible.. i dont see how.
Talking about favorite foods, my littles are making me fat. They keep buying or cooking high calorie foods and eating in the middle of the night, or when "I" am not in charge. I need to find a way to get them to stop. I've gained 20 pounds. I am supposed to be a nutrition coach! ouch.
My little Prudence loves ice cream and chocolate. She always seems to get her way at the store because I can't bear to make her cry. As a result, one cupboard recently had four full bags of mini chocolate bars in it, plus a chocolate cake in the fridge (half became supper one night!).
That really ticks off the others, who view the body as thin, until they look in the mirror and see what Pru's food choices do to it.
Tia loves steak... raw or nearly raw. That's always interesting when going to restaurants.
Regarding integration, I agree with Moon -- It would be nice to learn to deal with emotions as they come, and to choose my own responses to stress rather than giving myself over to one of them.
