Multiple Personalities Support Group
Dissociative identity disorder is a diagnosis described as the existence in an individual of two or more distinct identities or personalities, each with its own pattern of perceiving and interacting with the environment. At least two of these personalities are considered to routinely take control of the individual's behavior, and there is also some associated memory loss,...
You may consider reposting in PTSD or, sexual abuse groups for more productive feedback.
Keep us posted on what you find out, joining a campaign sounds like a good idea.
Life itself has a way of coming around eventually though. I mean they were miserable while I survived and got healthier and got on my own and lived my life.. a few towns away from them.
My hope for you is that you can also move forward with your life, surviving and recoverying. I hope the abuse is stopped now, and that you can cope and deal with life's inevitable rough spots.
It left a kind of hole when my mom died and we never got to live happily ever after,, but.. that's life sometimes.. and I just have to move forward the best I can. Yes, this is "I", "Me". I'm out! but still got my parts, like surrounding Me and giving Me support, and ready to go into action as necessary.
"I" was out for most of the day, and dealing with people and things.. but I have to say that I am totally exhausted, it was very stressful and took a lot of energy and all my skills to maintain.
Now "we" all have to get some rest.
G'night
I'm so grateful for a chance to tell the truth properly, even if nothing comes of it. I guess I just want it recorded that these things really do happen, and maybe with so much evidence building up all over the world people will have to start figuring out better ways to keep kids safe from the predators at home, as well as the strangers on the street.
Plus it kind of feels like I'm doing a good thing by giving my mother the opportunity to be honest and face the consequences. Of course she won't take it, but it just seems like making peace with it somehow. You know, like I've done what I can and nothing else is in my control so I'm free to move on.
Fairly worried about making the statement though because Other people carry the memories and I'm not sure if they'll all let me see them. I hope so. I need to tell.
you're very brave...nice work!
I think that when you are making your report, you should tell them everything and everyone who hurt you. Maybe try to tell the whole story. Because then the people who got away with it and are still alive could still get in trouble.
I've never been able to report mine, and when I was little and social workers would find out and stuff, nothing would ever come of it. But I have hope for you that this time around things will be in your favor.
Especially for those who never got a chance at 'official' justice (almost all of us I imagine?)
Thanks so much for the support.
