Shit

I can't seem to do anything of importance.

I try to get control and work on my computer and the next thing I know I am standing by the lamp on the other side of the room.

It just happens. I wake up somewhere else.

I tried to make a declaration that we all need to work together and find some common ground.

I wrote out a list of goals to accomplish.

And since then all hell has broke loose.

Clearly "they" want me to know I am "not" in charge.

It is getting worse.

I once could rally the group - before I realized that the voices in my heard weren't the norm in society.

They would relent and we finished an MBA degree.

Married

Had children

Now I live in a friends basement. Thankfully they let me or I would be that crazy guy you see on the street.

Dang, this is like heading cats.

Ugg, is this really my life? I try to deny this but really when you find yourself in a foreign place with no idea how you got there, DID is a good explanation since I got no other.

Alters need to know there loved and cherished. They are your hero's they took pain so you all could go on. Perhaps it is not you who is in charge perhaps you could vent your stress to them and ask for co presence. Just a thought

Sometimes it is easier to ask for your alters for their help vs. trying to control them. Like Mamoth said, each alter has a role in your system, so why not let each alter use their talent to assist you in your current situation? I think the goal is teamwork...maybe hold a board meeting with your alters and find out how you can best work together to get your list of goals accomplished.

Totally agree with Freddie. Our internals were all created to protect bus and sometimes those measures go way beyond our understanding. On many noccasions our internal world needs vto know vwe aren't tryingto get rid of them but want to help them in areas of life they find challenging and let them use their strengths to help the whole. In orderto do this we must do the pain staking task of communicating with them. This is fraut with many challenges, bargaining, reasoning and compromises from both parties. As a result trust will be maximiused and them taking over will be less often IMHO

There's a good book called "Who Parked the Car?" on Amazon that might help. Lots of exercises to do to help multiples be functional.

Mine don't respond well to being ordered around, I have to mostly talk them into things.
...and in my case, them FULLY taking over the body is rare.
They still find more subtle ways to make my life a wreck.

The best I can do as far as ordering is " I am not going to kill myself because you want it. "
