I hope you can find out who did it by opening up the communication within the "team"...perhaps this is an opportunity, im sorry it came about in this way.
First, you may not have hit the other car. Second, you may have hit another car and not known. Sometimes that can happen and if was just a little scratch, maybe you just tapped the other car. Even non-multiples have those sort of situations. Just explaining to the police, that you'd be happy to take responsibility if you knew you'd done something but you don't believe you did hit the car may be enough. Don't assume it's your fault though.
I have decided that I am not accepting the blame for this. since they can't prove it was me. but it still has me slightly frustrated.
