Now i have learned more and more about DID since i was diagnosed, that includes certain parts about how it can work. For example i think the record for alters is a friend i have another site she says she has like 500+ alters, only 40 or something actually talk to her or do anything outside their world, when talking to her therapist who knew more than my last therapist he told her that your mind can make alters for just about everything, if it has anything to do with past trauma or mundane trauma of everyday, like losing your wallet or worse identity theft.
At the same time you could have only a few or more active ones, now i started learning about indiviual alters that i have and i thought maybe i had 20 active and had met 20 that had left, but i havent really been talking to anyone much. my husband was talking to one of my alters, Constantine, who had a mostly full list, he typed up names, ages, heights, religions etc for all of them all together i have 89 alters currently living in "the castle" as i call it, a few active faceless voices living in the village, plus 4 voices that take resident in the castle, and im like where the hell are these people coming from.
I just get more and more tired with these people. now I can make a guess that more people than i have talked to on this site and others have countless alters that came for as short as just a few days to a few weeks, but what does it mean when you have more than that, that stick around, i think i need more therapy. but whatever the point is, its common for your alters to know more about other alters than the host, hosts need to talk to all their alters to see who is in there just taking up space, and therapy should be free, cheaper, or maybe even more expensive, i mean can you imagine fitting 500+ people in just one session? bah.
So back to why i started this discussion, how many alters do you know of? how many alters do your alters know of? what gender/age/religion is most common out of all of them? how do you feel day to day with your...inner family?

From those I know we males are slightly outnumbered.
From those I know age ranges from 2, or 1.6, to 44.
Religion, not everyone has access to religion but those who do just believe whatever they want to. Really cant tell you about majority. More like opposites and similarities. and then I still couldn't exactly tell you.
Living with DID for me is a burden. It and its consequences disable me. To others it was a life saver I guess.
Pretty much most of us feel like passengers, audience. Some waiting to live, some try to do so, some have to, some flee life.
The host feels weak, barely present mostly, she feels like she's left out and like, stupid. etc.. Couldn't tell you if she's always like this.

I had over 58 personalities that were known to me and 10 cult created alters not including myself, until I self integrated in 2000. Now after 11yrs, we have 5 currently and the list may be growing~ all stronger and not as many this time around.
We had two babies, one dog, 4 male alters, many littles 2--8, teens 15-18 and adults.
Currently that I know of, my little is 6,7,and 8, have a few teens, and adults.
Typical age ranges we find in friends are 2-8 , 16-18 and adults older than the body, but that means nothing. You can have a baby for an alter or a dog, or an 80 wise woman.
Majority of mine were Christian and some non believing, some obviously cult loyal.
Today I am confused, lose time and want to be more co-present. Thought I was integrated for good, but happy to have the help. I'm doing this alone because of SRA abuse and not having anyone want to tackle that in my area. Thankful to have the healing though.

LOT of children of all ages, both sexes. (We were told by T that the
word for this is: poly-fragmented.) Some of us are from other countries,
because our Guardian is Scottish. SO am I.
