Are there things you can do to help you feel safe?
I know some survivors pull the shades down, lock the doors, put on relaxing music and cuddle up with their pet (if they have one) or with a stuffed animal.
It's also important to breathe deeply to relax. Others sit in nature or do a lot of journal writing.
Different things work for different people. You'll need to explore what works for you.
Take your time. Accept all your parts and love them for how hard they tried to protect you.

It is really disconcerting when you first start figuring this out.
It feels really weird and crazy. Some times people with DID have alters that don't believe they are DID, and I think that is natural.
Just remember to be nice to yourself.
You created multiple personalities so you could deal with overwhelming situations. Try to treat yourself gently, like a scared animal in a thunder storm. You will need time to figure it out, just be nice to yourself
