HI, I'm not sure if I fit in here. I don't think I'm DID, but I do think I have something along those lines. It is a dissociative disorder. I have a 'me' who is so horrified by prostitution, she wants to kill me to stop me acting out on it. I have a 'me' who is somewhere in the middle on it. Then I have the 'me' who loves to prostitute and has done so a lot in the past.
It can drive me crazy when the parts are active. one minute, I want to kill myself out of horror of what I've done, the next minute, I'm planning my next prostitution adventure.
I think this is a dissociative thing, but the parts aren't fully developed personalities or anything like that. Just basic separate parts.

Although you might not have multiple personalities I believe everyone is welcome here. Im happy to be corrected but Im assuming you have found yourself within this life of prostitution after a traumatic childhood. If that is the case it would not be a surprise to have different parts of yourself who like/dislike this life of prostitution imho.

I do feel like you belong in this group so welcome

thanks Tyzz. Yes, I am as I am after a severely traumatic early childhood - sexual, sadistic.
If I was 25 years old again, and with a sex drive - I'd do it all again.

this group is full of compassionate, kind people....and accepting too! stick around long enough to find all of them!

having a side of us that is "sexual" is certainly not uncommon here and i think many will relate.
I have a sexual alter, Thai, who is bi sexual but doesn't want to be put into a label box...i'm pretty sure Thai has considered getting paid for sex because gay men offered that.

anyhow...i hope you feel safe here to explore and share about all sides of you!

Hi nellie. I have not been diagnosed with did at this time officially, though I think I am on my way. I started like you. I told people I was a great actress because I could play many parts. I dissociate a lot and was confused. I am slowly realizing all these for me are signs and I am opening up. This groups has helped and helps me now a lot with questions, advice, suggestions and support. There is no judgement even for things I have always thought where crazy

Welcome Nellie...this is meant to be a non-judgement zone. We all do things that are considered "dangerous" or "harmful", but I will send out the hope that you are safe.

I understand the conflict inside. That is pretty opposite. I hope eventually you can find one direction and be ok with it.
