some parts have fibromyalgia. ( or so they say. it's just a name for things they dont know the cause of. in my case that would be pain in my old injuries, numb foot, etc ). if they are out, i cant even lift a pack of milk.
when my strong ones are out, i cant really understand why i can lift heavy weights now. some of me have very bad eye-side, but when i try to go to an eye doctor, it's gone.
one of me has a high blood pressure. same story.
and indeed my face changes ( to me). some of me have made a photograph of themselves, and i can really see the difference. completely different expressions.
ow yeah, and i have asthma. so when i am out, i have a hard time breathing. when the others are out, i dont. we have far better physical health when riding my bike, when i dont need to do it.
You are exactly correct with the unknown species comment. This is one of the few sites that I know of where people with DID can get together and compare notes. The alters of one of my friends have IMed the alters of a second friend. The counselor for one had never heard of that happening before. As I have become more familiar with people with DID have become increasingly frustrated at the lack of knowledge about effective ways to treat the disorder.
