The thing is - regardless of how this one person reacts, know there are a lot of people in the world who can hear this news, support you and be very caring and loving.
We tend to think that people will think it's so strange, but often people will say, "Oh. Okay. What does that mean?" and then ask, as john12 said, "How can I support you?"
It's just about finding those people.
