After reading some posts I am not sure who Lil is but maybe trying to comfort them by reading them a story, cuddling in a blanket or something soothing may help? I am not sure any of this would help as I really do not know your situation but I guess it couldn't hurt to try a few things maybe? Maybe reassuring Lil as much as you can possibly that you understand her fear that she doesn't want to go back home and you will do what you can to keep her as safe as you possibly can under the circumstances may ease her enough to sleep?
I am glad that you at least have the great group of peoples here to try and help keep your head above water and get things out!!
One thing my T tells me all the time is that the cowards that hurt children would never think of trying to hurt an adult. And my littles know that they look grown up to the rest of the world - sort of an armor. It helps.
I also sleep with the light and tv on and that seems to help.
You can also ask the kids what would help them feel safe. They have wonderful magical thinking so it can be as simple as a superhero figure by the bed, having a nightlight on or that sort of thing.
Best of luck to you with everything.
