have a lovely weekend
do you think you will be taking a specific direction forward therapeutically? Where would you like to go?
please keep us posted on your progress!
For me, although I'm still waiting for medi- cal to kick in so I can get a therapist, I'm still trying to move forward in my recovery, starting with educating myself and defining my losses through trauma.
I'm reading a book called ' Father Hunger' to help me identify profound loss I didn't know I had with regard to relationship, specifically, from father. I sometimes forget that, in addition to abuse and the trauma that comes with it, I'm also dealing with profound loss of a relationship I desperately needed... I'm learning about how this affected my self esteem, confidence, identity, etc.
Keep up the great work loum!
coming here and venting may be a healthy strategy to stay safe in between therapy sessions...
