Im not sure about MRSA causing the immune system to weaken, if anything it may increase ones immune system due to the increased attention on diet, hand washing, exercise, etc, and the bodys increased immune response due to fighting off the bacteria. Since I was first diagnosed with MRSA over a year ago, Ive quit drinking alcoholic beverages, cut down on tobacco use, started exercising, and take a hand full of vitamins and supplements every morning.

This Swine flu doesnt have me worried at all. If we (MRSA survivors) are strong enough to fight off and survive one of the most deadly bacteria there is, a little flu bug is nothing to worry about. Although an interesting side effect of the swine flu is an increased awareness of the public in cleanliness and sanitation which will also lead to a decrease in the spread of MRSA. At work yesterday (I work in an office), we were all given bleach cleaner and instructed to wash our desks and surrounding areas. Also hand sanitizer had been distributed at each doors with all employees required to use each time they enter the building. Had these practices been in place a year ago, I may have never been exposed to MRSA in the first place.

It always seems to be the case, somethign drastic must occur for something equaly drastic to rectify the original problem. I must amit, since aquiring MRSA about a year ago, I never get sinusis infections, as I used to, or even colds. I pop vitamins, wash with hibiclens and manuka soap, etc.... Clean under your nails too, a lot of people forget that critical area on their body-bacteria and virusis frequently hide under our fingernails. Decades of pollution in the enviornment, in our foods, et al are the root causes of swine flu and MRSA, etc.... Generated by years of abuse caused by mankind, it is a fact, no doubt. Now, what do we all do about it?
