My Daughter just had to have surgery there to open one that was the size of a golf ball.. They told us it was MRSA it was really bad she is doing better now that they have opened it and it has been draining.. But she is still screaming when we have to pack the would and clean it out.

My daughter has had MRSA for 10 years and has had several in the vaginal area. They are very painful and take a while to heal. i also have MRSA, got it from taking care of my daughters wounds, and have had a few down there, but haven't had any big enough to have surgery over yet. I'm sure it will happen. Heres a tip my doc, whose also a family member told me, put a capfull of household bleach in your bathwater and dishwater. It won't hurt you. Think about a pool. The chlorine a pool doesn't hurt you, and a capfull in your bathwater and dishwater isn't near the amount in a pool. But it will keep the MRSA on your skin in check and keep it from being spread. In the dishwater it keeps the MRSA under your nails from being transmitted to other parts of your body. It won't make it totally go away, but it will decrease it flare ups. It might dry out your skin some, but I just use a good lotion. God Bless.

Hibiclens is a good wash to use also if you dont want to use the bleach. My MRSA has been dormant since june 2011 i now take 2 bactrim ds twice a day and get monthly blood work to make sure it still is dormant.

YES I have had this problem... I have no idea if it was MRSA or Staph but it was an extremely painful infection between the crease of my thigh and my vagina. It was like a boil or lesion and it was a little smaller then my thumb. It wasn't like a cut but it drained, and would flare up, and then go down again.
