Staph infections are infections caused by the bacteria Staphylococcus. They include skin infections, pneumonia, blood poisoning, toxic shock syndrome, and food poisoning. Infection can happen through contact, especially if you have open wounds. Most infections are treatable with antibiotics. If you have been infected with staph, join the group for support and advice.
No cellulitis is not contagious but if it is MRSA it is very much so..The best thing you can do is be supportive of her..If it is MRSA people tend to ostricise you...and being in another state doesnt mean you can't be a supportive friend..My best friend lives in another state and supports me well..
If it is MRSA you would have to be so careful if you were there with her..Just keep letting her know she is not alone..Keep in touch thats important..Blessings to you and she is in my prayers!
