Finaly, the answer to why I andmany of you suffereing with MRSA, are experincing reoccuring yeast/jock itch and related fungil infections of the groin/anus/inner thigh regions. This explains it all, but in a nutshell, overuse of certain antibotics used to combat MRSA, cause these stated related fungil infections.

gglaw, are you taking probiotics everyday? I have never had a yeast infection from treatment for staph infection.

Lori. My hubby also gets jock itch from antibiotics. It may be more common in some people, mainly men.

Only one antibiotic gave me jock itch: Zvoxx.

Aparently, months of basctrim, at various intervals caused this jock itch/ring worm/filliculitus problems for me...I use probatics, but spioradicaly..I need to pick up new ones and take them twice daily...that might help...also, utilizign hibiclens for svereal months may be the root cause too...hibiclens should only be used for a few weeks at a time, if that..it kills too much of our natural flora (sic), it kills good bacteria. But in general, there are long term adverse effects from long term utilization of many of these anti-MRSA antibotics. Jock itch is only one of sveeral effects that long term use of antibotics may cause. Liver damage, which may take years to discover is allready occuring in many of us from these antibotics. Depression, malase, fatgue, sore joints, itchy eyes, mysterious red bumps, acne, etc...much of which can be attributed to long term use of antibotics. Think about it, when you have a sinusis in fection for example, yourecieve no more than ten days of antibotics, on average, and much weaker type of antibotics, on average, compared to ay bactrim.....These antibotics are killing us ever so slowly.

I don't get yeast infection I do probiotics but I do feel the medicines are helping to kill me slowly..

All the antibiotics are not good on anyone..They just soon get to where you don't have the good bacteria either...And I have developed so many allergies not much left to take..

My hubbys doctor said to use hibeclens one week on an one week entirely off. He said it was important to not use it all the time.

Porkysmama No, hubby is still kicking. He is too mean to die (kidding of course) He is doing better this last 6 months than the first 6 months he had mrsa but just can't kick it entirely.
