A mother plays a crucial role in both early childhood development as well as support throughout one's life. How is your life affected by the lack of this integral relationship?

My mother pass away in april 2011 and my mother's sister left us on June 30th. They both had congestive heart failure i dont know how to deal with all this grief.

My mother passed away in April as well. I'm deeply sorry for your losses. I don't know how to navigate this grief either. I just called a local hospice house about an "Adult Loss of Parent" bereavement group. But I'm hoping this site will help too. There's something to be said, though, for letting things out on person, or at least on the phone. Though I'm having a really hard time with either right now.

It's been three months and feels like yesterday and years all at the same time.

Hang in there and try to let any emotions out when they surface.
A good friend said if I don't, they'll come out sideways. ;-)

It's rough, isn't it? Death isn't easy.

I had my favorite aunt (more like a sis) pass away March 2010, then my mom three months later, one of her sisters a month after her, a young cousin committed suicide four months after that and my dad passed away three months after that. It's definitely been an emotional roller coaster. We would barely have time to start healing before the next punch in the stomach.

Do what you can to make life more bearable/enjoyable. I try to get out and walk, go to movies with friends, hang out with my favorite family members, etc.

Just take life one day at a time. If that seems too hard, do it a minute at a time. Good luck.
