Morgellons Disease Support Group
Morgellons or Morgellons disease is a controversial name for an alleged polysymptomatic syndrome characterized by patients finding fibers on their skin, which they believe are related to other symptoms, including intense itching, skin lesions, as well as a wide range of other chronic symptoms. These symptoms are occasionally accompanied by the belief in an infestation by...
My family lives with me and they don't even believe it exists (when I had the bites or rash all over my husband would say "you have a skin condition". None of them claim to feel any biting, crawling, or itching. IMy bites/rash and sensations took off after staying in a hotel alone while my body was unbelievably physically stressed, so I think there is something to the theory about one's immunity being down and making you susceptible. However, when we were all treated with ivermectin last year, my husband and son both got a temporary rash (red dots in a circle) and my husband's towel as well as mine suddenly had thousands of black dots all over it and had to be discarded. But as I said, they claim no symptoms.
We also had alot of environmental stuff noticeable like dropping ceilings, gray fuzz and black streaks on fabrics, and many other things. DampRid helps but doesn't totally cure the slow process of clothes getting ruined and also, I'm scared because just recently I'm noticing a few creepy things I hadn't seen since last spring. (Like this dried-peanut-butter-looking stuff I used to find on fabrics sometimes, today was on my sweater.)
I have heard of young men getting this so it's not out of the question. Maybe you should play it safe, no hugs, etc, until you hopefully recover. 'Cause you wouldn't forgive yourelf if he came down with it.
Good luck.
I've suffered for over a year and my husband doesn't have it and thinks I'm a little wacky .
Here's what I've learned
It lived on the scalp and burrows in skin
Black heads are them
It's a bug
It releases allergens
It doesn't like garlic so eat it fresh and raw , minced or chewed
Borax works well in laundry. Don't put it on your skin
Careful not to use anything harsh on skin so you can maintain as much skin immunity as possible
That's all I got for now. I'm hoping the garlic helps . I read it has to be fresh minced or chewed
