I am too afraid to try Aldara, so I started the apple cider vinegar treatment. I soaked a cotton ball, then put a band aid on overnight. I woke up this morning and the swelling is down a lot, and they turned white which I think means they're being eliminated. I will see how this works for a couple days, and if it's not helping more I'll probably start the aldara. Anyone else try this??

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? I think I am happy with this treatment for the most part, it's just this one sore that is giving me grief. I would say use it for a few nights, and then maybe go down to every other night. But keep in mind that I also had liquid nitrogen treatment on most of the sores, so your results could be different. A couple tricks to try if you do this.
1) make sure you wear disposable gloves to keep from spreading the virus, and because the vinegar stinks.
2) instead of the regular cotton balls, use the cotton pads instead of the cotton balls..you'll cover more area
3) get some good size gauze pads to cover the cotton pad instead of band aids. The larger gauze will help to cover up some of the smell of the vinegar.
