Hi all,
I am going back to my OB on Tuesday and was wondering what kind of question I should be asking him. I realised after the D&C and my visit to my IVF doctor that I really hadn't asked enough, or pushed enough to get the tests that I wanted done....
I really don't want to make that same mistake again, so if you could tell me any questions that you asked and any tests that you have had performed that you feel I should have done, so that I can ensure that I am not just steam rolled like the last time I would really appreciate it .

I know how you feel, so many questions you don't know where to start. I have recently had an appointment with a high risk pregnancy OB ( as I had a placenta abruption 10 years ago and a miscarriage 3 months ago). He ordered a whole lot of blood tests, to check for blood clotting disorders. I have not been back to see him yet, but pathology have told me I have a high count for Antinuclear Antibodies, which apparently can cause both the conditions that I have suffered. I have heard a lot of people say they don't usually do tests until after two or more miscarriages, but I feel the more info we can get to prevent it again, the better. Hope this has helped. I would ask about getting pathology done to determine a reason for your miscarriage. I had one done and it helped me get some closure to the matter. Also, it was my 1st pg and mc so there is no reason why they shouldn't be able to do one for you! Once it comes back, ask any and all questions you may have about the results, no matter how stupid you feel they are. I work in the medical field and I feel that there are no stupid questions. If you don't know, ask!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
