TTC after a D&C

I had a incomplete misscarrage at 7 weeks that ended in a D&C. It has been 5 weeks since the D&C and my Hcg levels are very low but not quite down to 0 yet. My DH and I aren't actively TTC but we aren't preventing anything either. I recheck my Hcg on Fri to see where I'm at. My question is do I have to wait 1-2 cycles before TTC again? I have heard several things but wanted to get some thoughts from you all. My DH and I feel ready emotionally and we want to get pregnant again as soon as we can. Hugs to you all!!

I am so sorry for your loss. My first loss I had a d&c, second I didn't. Both times they told me to wait a cycle and then ttc again. I didn't wait to start trying, but my first loss was in July and I found out I was pregnant for the second time the day after Christmas. I lost that one on January 8th, at about 6 weeks. I found out exactly 4 weeks to the day later that I was pregnant again. That baby is my almost 3 year old son.
Every body is different. I can say that by the time I was getting to the end of my pregnancy with my son, it literally felt like an eternal pregnancy...because I was pregnant for 6 weeks, then a short break, then I made it to 38 weeks with him. I was scared to death it was too soon after a miscarriage and my body wouldn't be able to handle it. But all went well.

Thank you for your story and so sorry for your 2 losses. My biggest fear is another loss, but I can never have a child without trying. I feel ready if I were to conceive right away, but I'm sure whenever it happens it will be another roller coaster of emotions. I trust that what happens will be whats best for me, everything happens for a reason!!

I just had a D&C yesterday...I lost my little one at 8 weeks. My heart hurts for me and my husband's loss. It just feels unfair especially since this was my first pregnancy. My doctor told me that its best to start trying again after i have had 2 period cycles. He said that if I were to get pregnant before that there is an increased risk for another miscarriage. My husband and I want to start trying again soon, so i know the feeling. I am sorry for everyone's loss.
