Miscarriage Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have experienced the traumatizing event of a miscarriage or a stillbirth. Miscarriage remains one of the most common complication of pregnancy, but that doesn't make it easy to deal with. It's strange, though, I haven't really began that process yet. I know it's coming, but my baby is still there inside me. Knowing it won't be much longer is very hard, but for some reason my mind just doesn't go there--it's like it's just not prepared to do it yet. Every day brings it closer, though, and I know it's only a matter of time. I don't know if the waiting is worse than actually having to deal with the pain.
I've heard that it can go either way with a subchorionic hematoma and that has been the case with me. I also had one, nearly the exact size (very big) with an earlier pregnancy and that baby survived and is now 5 years old.
My thoughts are with you and again I am so sorry that you are going through this. Hugs to you...
I'm sorry you have to go through this. I just had a miscarriage over 2 weeks ago. I was only 3, almost 4 weeks pregnant when it happened. I can't believe that this is happening to you.
Do you have somebody to lean on while you go through this? That does help even when you feel so lonely and that nobody knows what you're going through.
I hope things get better for you. If you ever need to talk... this place is a wonderful resource.
Tomorrow is the day, I'll have an ultrasound and they'll check the heartbeat to see if it has completely stopped. Then it begins, that crushing pain that I wish I could forget. I have been trying to keep busy, but more and more that door to the dark room of grief starts to open. It's getting harder to slam it shut, and the time is coming to say goodbye.
I can't believe this is happening, it can't be real. I can't believe I am going through this again. Two years of trying, all the tests, just to lose another baby. I am wondering how women ever find the strength to try again, knowing what might happen. I am far from that time, but I just don't know if I'll be able to do it.
My husband has been very supportive, I think we learned a little bit about dealing with this since we went through it the first time. Back then he thought he should be strong for me, that ended up just making me feel like he wasn't as sad as I was and that he was distant. We know we need to do this together.
Also, last time our families knew because I needed to have surgery. They thought it was an ectopic pregnancy (but it wasn't). That made it harder, knowing everybody was looking at me and wondering how I was doing, discussing my reproductive health and if I would ever have kids. This time only my mom knows. She also had several miscarriages and difficulties but she has 3 healthy children now. Perhaps there is hope for me.
Well, time to carry on and make it through this day. Your support means so much to me and I know it will be of help and comfort to me during a very difficult time.
