At almost 9 weeks pregnant I had my first ultra sound on May 21st. My doctor wanted to assure me that all was fine because I am anxious a lot. The baby measured 8 weeks, 6 days which was perfect, but she could not detect a heart beat. She thought it might be a glitch with the ultra sound so I was sent for another one the next day. It was confirmed that my baby had passed away somewhat recently. I had a D and C on May 23rd. This was my second pregnancy. I told a lot of people because I have a beautiful 3 year old daughter and figured that with one successful pregnancy under my bealt, I was pretty safe. I am so devestated, I never even thought about a miscarriage. I even named my little baby JR because my husband and I were hoping for a son this time (we would have been just as happy with another girl). I feel so alone and empty. I can't stop crying. I want to get it together for my daughter's sake but I feel crippled by grief, anger, guilt, numbness. I can't sleep and I feel so empty inside. I don't know anyone who has had a miscarriage and most of my friends and family don't get it. Two of my closest friends have not even called after I told them. I feel so alone.
