Miscarriage Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have experienced the traumatizing event of a miscarriage or a stillbirth. Miscarriage remains one of the most common complication of pregnancy, but that doesn't make it easy to deal with. Join the group and find support in the company of others who know what you're going through.
We ordered a coffin from this ministry for the little boy we just lost and it is amazing!! First, I didn't even know there was something like this available! My husband found their website when he was trying to find out what our options were for burying our baby.
Something you can't put a value on is the experience and COMPASSION of the lady who runs this ministry. She has lost several babies herself and is so incredibly warm, loving and knowledgeable. She walked me through the process of preserving our baby's remains for burial...and when I was having a nervous breakdown over the process, she even called me and sweetly walked me through it.
Several of my friends have shared that they wish they had known about this place when they lost their babies, so I thought I would share it on here, as we are all suffering the same losses here. I do understand that people all deal with things differently, but some of us just didn't know this was an option.
We are still deciding whether to take one of the free burial plots available at a local cemetery for miscarried babies, or to put our baby between my grandparents (a little further away for us). The cemetery they are buried in will put babies between the headstones of family members (also for NO cost!).

Those are so nice! What a beautiful and loving way to put you child in their resting place. I wish I'd known about these before.

It seems crazy how many women have been in our position...having lost a baby. When I told friends that we were losing ours, my women friends came out of the woodwork with stories of loss that I never knew they had suffered through! There should be a whole list of options and resources because we all grieve different ways. This was the only place we could find that makes coffins specifically for our situation and about 18 of my friends said they wish they had known..or that they had been available when they had lost their children. I am putting together a little sheet with information on Heaven's Gain as well as our local cemeteries' policies on burying miscarried babies, and giving it to our OBGYN clinic and our local hospital, so women can know about these options.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
