I was just wondering if anyone knew the odds of getting pregnant during the time your ovulating. my bf and I had sex 2 days before ovulation, the day I was suppose to ovulate and the the day after, and I was just wondering if it increased my odds of getting pregnant.
Once you ovulate, the egg remains viable for about 24 hours. The sperm can remain viable in your uterus/fallopian tubes for up to 72 hours, so if you had sex 2 or even 3 days before you ovulated those sperm could still have been "hanging around" when your egg was released. So...it sounds like your timing was good if you did actually ovulate on the day you thought you did.
That being said, I believe there's about a 25% chance of getting pregnant for women under 30. So, even if the timing was perfect, there's still a chance that it might not work. I wish you the best of luck!!!!
