So I was told March 28th that they couldn't find my babies heartbeat. I was 6 wks 6 days when they heard and saw it in the radiology dept ultrasound - then going for my first prenatal 3 days later they couldn't find it, and even sent me back down to radiology to confirm no heartbeat. So I lost it within that 3 days.
ANYWAY...I was given 3 options to pass the baby 1. naturally 2. the pill 3. d&c - I chose naturally since I Had to go back to work and I couldn't take off work for the next 2 wks following AT ALL!
I have to go back on Tues for an appt. and if i haven't passed the baby by then they will probably schedule d&c (I don't think I want the pill from the stories I've heard about it)
But I'm so upset I didn't do that in the first place now!!! I have not been feeling well for a few days, but today especially I'm sick to my stomach nauseous, feeling very fatigued, light headed, overall achy. Almost like a stomach flu - but I don't have fever (thankfully otherwise I wouldn't be here typing I'd be on my way to ER)
I can't schedule D&C till the week of the 18th if it doesn't pass by then cuz again can't miss work till then. But I'm so upset and nervous about feeling so horrible! I guess I'm just ranting right now and I need to keep an eye out for fever I guess.

I am so sorry for your loss hun. My suggestion to you would be to go have the D &C on the first available time they have. You need to take care of yourself first. It sounds like you may have an infection because of how sick you have been. I had a missed miscarriage at 13 wks along, I went in for ultrasound, no heartbeat. I had a D&C in office, but they didnt get it all and for several months I was very sick (same symptoms as you, but I did have a fever. I went back to my doctors office and my HCG levels were still pretty high so they scheduled an ultrasound to see if any tissue was left behind or if I was pregnant again. Turned out the sac was still there, they missed it the first time. The biopsy from that D&C came back positive for endometritis (a bad infection). It was a result of the tissue being left in me for so long. I was very sick for a long time. Listen, I guess what I am getting at is that you need to take care of yourself. Not just physically, but emotionally as well. A Miscarriage is the most difficult thing to go through. Please take care of yourself so you can heal get better? I remember having those options and it's just a horrible place to be. Can't move on until it's done -- can't choose -- just a horrible stuck place. I'm sorry you are in this rough spot!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had 5 natural miscarriages and a D&C and I don't think there is any choice that is easy. Erin is right, you need to take care of yourself physically right now and do whatever is best for you. Hugs and prayers coming your way.
