Missed period, negative pregnancy test

We are on month 3 trying to conceive again. I had 2 miscarriages and no live births, unfortunately. But Im still trying! I have a regular 28-29 cycle. About a week after ovulation, I had some brown spotting, like old blood. I thought that this could have been implantation. This past Monday, I had a missed period! I became excited. I took a couple of hpts and they all came back negative. I started taking progesterone, just in case. I went into the doctor for blood work yesterday, and received that sad news this morning, my test was negative. So now, my day is all screwed-up:( Im going to stop taking my progesterone, b/c I know that can delay your period. Wishful thinking, Ill test in a couple days and its positive. Have anyone experienced this? I know stress can make you miss, but Ive been deliberate about trying not to stress out. If Im not pregnant then what could be wrong?

Im so sorry. I don't have any advice for you, you did exactly what i would have done, with the progesterone and the labs. I can imagine the let down, but its good to know you can get pregnant. I know how it feels to lose the angels tho...Just know your doing what you can right now, and your time will coe. Ill keep you in my thoughts and prayers honey!

Im in the same boat as you. This is our third month of trying and I still have 12 days until my period but not getting my hopes up. I keep wondering why does it take so long to conceive? But the last 2 months I felt my body has played tricks on me like feeling nausea's, breasts tender, tired, etc then I get my period and sad. I used an ovulation test the last 2 months and it didnt work last month and unsure about this month. But I understand the frustration and want. I just hate when people say oh you have to relax. im like thanks that is not helpful. Ill pray for you as I pray for myself asking God to give us to have a baby!

Ugh I'm sorry. : ( you mentioned progesterone...I've had another lady who miscarried tell me with her first she wasn't getting enough so as soon as she got pregnant again they started her on it and she had a healthy baby that time. I also have a friend who just miscarried as well and she was told to come in right away the next time to check that. My doc didn't tell me anything but wait two cycles and try again. I never even saw my doc during my miscarriage, just the hospital. What did you have to do to get progesterone?

This will also be my 3rd month trying, I am due on my period on the 1st July, so I will have to see what happens.

I know u want to fall pregant fast, but on average it takes 6 month to fall pregant, so don't feel that something is wrong. It's even considered normal if it takes 1 year if am 35.

Most women normally take 3-6 months though, that's just on average. Just keep positive and carry on & it will happen :-)

My OB also have me progesterone after my second mc, she said it can't hurt and possibly could help. As soon as I found out I was pregnant a third te, I started it, but I was already losing it..after the 4th positive test, I was on thyroid medication and started the progesterone right away and took it from week 5-week 13. I never saw my OB during any mc, just after all 3, I was closely monitored with labs, and the numbers were how they were able to tell I was goo g to mc. That and the fact I was spotting from the start with all 3.

Maybe your DH is stressing out too and that may be a factor. I know that whenever it was time to BD he would get very nervous and just couldn't perform well or at all and then that would of course blow the cycle. Then I tried charting and doing OPK tests without him knowing and pretending that I was taking a month off for stress reasons and then I seduced him when it was time and we actually did it two days in a row and got pregnant with the cutie I am carrying now. It is worth a shot.

Thanks for the responses ladies. Update--my period came 1 wk late:( I'm usually always regular. It could have been delayed b/c I'm finding out progesterone can do that.

Tifblair--my doctor prescribed progesterone after my second misscarriage. you may want to inquire with your OB. It wouldn't hurt to take it. To my understanding, if your body does not produce enough, you can misscarry. In the second trimester the placenta starts to take over.

Rach 301--Great advise I needed. I'm going to keep trying even when I get frustrated at times and try not to stress as much.

Hope2012 I did ask my ob about progesterone and unfortunately she doesn't believe in it because it just makes you feel sick, and there hasn't been anything shes read that proves it works. Idk I think id take the sickness if there is even a slight chance it will keep me from miscarrying again.
