My neice had a baby around the time our lost baby would have been due. It was very difficult to be around her during her pregnancy - just because it was a reminder of "what should have been" for me, but I was still happy for her.. It's been 2 years now and when I look at her little boy.. it's sort of bittersweet, just for a moment, thinking my lost baby would have been almost the same age.. Almost like a quick peek from heaven of what he'd be doing right now... still gives me feelings of happy and sad all at the same time.. more happy than sad now that I am what I'd consider to be through the grieving process - and more into a reminicising type of a feeling..hard to explain, it leaves me with a smile, while carrying a twing of pain.. just not so big that i have to cry every time I feel it..
