Miscarriage Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have experienced the traumatizing event of a miscarriage or a stillbirth. Miscarriage remains one of the most common complication of pregnancy, but that doesn't make it easy to deal with. I'm sorry for your loss and I am hoping the physical is over for you.
I was in the ER when all of that started happening to me and my blood pressure got dangerously low, luckily they were able to get things under control before anything bad happened.
Sorry this has happened to you. I remember asking the same question after misoprostol, its amazing how much you can lose
I was so convinced by one doctor that it was best for my body to pass this miscarriage on my own and since I am one of those "all-natural-types" I am wanted to try to let nature do what it supposedly is capable of doing but in this case, it would have been impossible.
If this terrible loss ever happens to me again when I am ready to try again, I know now for 100% certain that I will insist on a D &C right away to avoid going through 8 days of emotional agony knowing the baby is dead but will not pass and then another 9 days of physical nightmare of excessing bleeding and still need the D & C anyway. Lesson learned about something I am glad I have no prior experience iwth.
Now I can move on to focus on the emotional process of grieving instead of having the physical part looming around with no end in sight. I will still miss my baby and I feel "emptier" than ever after the D &C but at least I can now move toward enough healing to be able to try again. I hope for a happy ending in 2011 with either the newest of newborns or a third trimester baby bump.
