Ok. Some of you already know my husband and I lost our little man at 14 weeks on 08.16.11. it has been almost 6 months and I still feel like I am drowning most of the time. But lately we have been talking about trying again. I had a rare type of miscarriage and it is extremely unlikely that that kind would happen again but of course I am still scared. I don't know if I could emotionally handle that again. But we want a baby! I am Catholic, But I haven't prayed or talked to God or anything since we lost Sebastian. But the other day I broke down and prayed to God for a sign about whether we should try again. And within 24 hours I think I got 3 signs....but I don't know what I am supposed to be looking for. One was I had a dream we found out we were pregnant with a girl and decided to name her Esme Hope. Then I seen someone had named their baby that! Then while I was at work (receptionist at a nursing home) a nun that was delivering the little books of psalms to the residents stopped and looked at me, handed ME one ( there was 3 other girls up there) and said "God bless you." Then finally the ladies at work were talking about how you shouldn't be on birth control because every child is a gift from God and that if he blesses you with one you were meant to have it. (I'm on BC because I wasn't supposed to get pregnant right away after my MC but I stayed on it because we weren't sure if we were ready for another baby yet) well that''s all. If you read the whole thing please let me know what you all think, was all this just a strange day of was it a sign?

I say you go for it. I am Catholic as well. I hadn't been to church since we lost the little one in November (Saturday after Thanksgiving). :( I swore I wouldn't go back and was so angry. This was my second...the first I believe happened for a reason and the second was much harder for me. So fast forward two months...my fiance's grandfather died and I had to work the day of the funeral but I decided to call off because I just felt like I had to be there. Well, once I was there I realized I was at church and I looked up at that big stained glass of Jesus and smirked because he got me there...one way or another...he did. I told him how angry I was and that we really wanted that baby and how much we loved it. I didn't feel comfort at first and then when I got in my car after the funeral mass the song I associated with my miscarriage was on the radio. I felt much more calm and at peace after that. Not sure why, it was like He was trying to tell me it would be ok. Fast forward another week and I had a dream that I took 5 hpt just to check and they all came back positive and I felt as though it was a girl. I wasn't sure on whether or not these were signs but I am sure hoping so. :) We start trying again this month. Good luck to you!

All I can say that No Miscarriage of any sort, for anyone is easy. I had 6 miscarriages, 1 was at 6 months.
Our God had plans for me to not give up and I didnt. I knew I was meant to be a Mother. and a wonderful mother at that! and I am!
I have 3 daughters... age 17, 15 & 10, and they are the air I breathe and I am thankful everyday for them!
But I never gave up! I mourned, cried, yelled for a lil bit, journaled my pain and kept trying! Dont give up! Dont dwell in the sadness. I hope this helps! Hugs to you!

tryingtoletgo did they ever figure out why you kept miscarrying? you give me hope! I have one son (my first pregnancy) and two miscarriages (after my son).

My husband and I have been talking about it alot and we do believe they were signs. we want to add a little one to our family so badly. The first one wasn't really planned but the moment we found out about him we were so excited! in that moment we were parents. we planned to wait longer before we had any kids but since we got pregnant the first time that is all we can think about! Now its like that is all that matters. My mom thinks we should wait "till we can afford it" but there is never a good time to have a baby. You can never be fully financially prepared. I think we are going to start trying soon : )

I deff think its a sign!! If you think you guys are ready then by all means i say shoot for the moon. But make sure yous are emotionally ready first. Ill send prayers ur way, hun (:
