I am in the process of getting medical insurance and when it is all set up and good to go, i am thinking about going to grief counseling. i am already looking for a psychiatrist who specializes in miscarriage.

i am so depressed and angry, i just cant do it anymore. i have never felt so alone and misunderstood in my life.i am willing to do literally ANYTHING to help. This site is amazing...but its not enough.

i think what made me consider this is the fact that i am more depressed than ever. i know my miscarriage happened over a year ago, but i feel like its never too late to get help. i have to do this...for Jayden and for me. i go through the motions of the days, and then I cry myself to sleep everynight. i have thought about suicide and escaping the misery, but i am too fearful. i need some serious help...more than a website is giving me.

do you guys think it would be worth it to go to grief counseling?

Honey, please go and get yourself some help. Don't be ashamed to ask for it. I am seeing a therapist myself, because losing my daughter has been the hardest thing I have ever had to go through in my life. Your baby is looking down on you, and needs you to be strong. Although it may feel like your life is over, it isn't. There are so much more to life to look forward to. One day, when it's our time we will see our babies again. But you have so much more to give this world. God gave you life for a reason, and gave you your baby for a reason. Even your baby's life was short, God chose you to be Jayden's mom. Your not alone, we are here to support eachother. Take care sweetie, and please get help for yourself.

I'm going. It can't hurt! I start going next Monday.

I'm a bit nervous, because I know it's going to be hard, and I'm going to cry...a LOT...but I also know it'll help me get better.

Look at it this way, though...it's better to go NOW, and get yourself better, so that you're healthy and whole for when you are able to bring a little one into the world.

It doesn't matter how long it's been, if you're hurting, you're hurting.

I went to counselling, only had 2 sessions (no insurance here, had to pay privately) but i wholeheartedly recommend.

Do you have a local resolve or mc support? I phoned mine and asked if they could recommend someone, and thats who I saw, she 'got it' completely.

This is big life-changing stuff, and seeing the lady I saw completely validated that and made me feel 'normal' in my grief

Love to you, this sucks donkeyarse, and you WILL come through the other side of this (18 months later and another mc, and I can finally say this and mean it)

Yes, get help. I am getting ready to go too. I have been to conseling before for anxiety and depression, so I am going to go back to my therapist for this too. He is very busy and I can't get in with him for a couple weeks. I can't wait to talk to him. I feel like I can talk to him and tell him things and feelings that I can't easily tell anyone else. When you go, just let it all out. That's what they are for. I hope it helps you. I hope it helps me too. Hang in there.

My MC was over a year ago as well and I still feel the pain. I see a counselor as well, and have found it helpful. My husband is actually paying $60 a session out of pocket for me to see a Christian counselor because we felt the one I was going to through my insurance just wasnt enough. AT first I told him I thought it we could spend the money on other things, but he said it didnt matter if it meant getting my happiness back. I know its still too soon, but on Sunday we had a memorial service for our baby, and ever since then, I have felt a weight lifted off my shoulders and some closure that I needed. It was very helpful to me and although it has only been a few days, I have felt at peace. I hope and pray that this lasts, and I am believing that it will. Maybe doing something like that can help you as well. But definately go see a counselor, even if you have to pay out of pocket. Its very important for you to take care of yourself. Some places will do a sliding scale for you if income is a problem until your insurance kicks in, I know sometimes when you start a new job, you have to wait 3 months before you can get benifits. ANd thats way too long to wait. I will be praying for you. hugs

So sorry for your loss! Hands down was the best thing I did for myself. In addition to the wonderful women on here, counseling helped me tremendously!
