My friend had 2 miscarriages, with one she miscarried naturally and the other she did a D & C. She did say with miscarrying naturally she was able to get back to her normal menstrual cycle quicker but the hormone fluctuations weremore noticeable. I was able to get a period almost exactly a month after I miscarried. I did have some serious mood swings though. With a D & C mostly everything is cleaned out and there is minimal bleeding but your body may take longer to get back to normal.
It is awesome that you have a wonderful husband and supportive family and friends!
I had was able to miscarry the baby naturally; however, I still went through with the D&C... With no real answers of which would help me recover more quickly. I knew there was the possibility of bleeding g with either but more people reported less amount of time with the d&c ... I just hated bleeding knowing that that was still apart of my pregnancy and wanted it all out ASAP. My dr scoped my uterus and said everything looked healthy ( which was another reason I choose it) to give me a little piece of mind that everything there was ok. I wish there were better answers out there but the human bodies are all so different and understand there can't be. The same path for everyone. I hope I made the right decision to get my body back on track to have a normal cycle as soon as possible as we would like to start trying when it is ok :)
I wish you all the best!
