My first period after my first was just like a period, but a little heavier than normal. My second miscarriage only happened 1/8 so I haven't gotten my period yet. I'm sure everyone is different, though. Is it possible you're pregnant? Have you been having unprotected sex, or taken a pregnancy test, or anything? Did you have a D&C? If you didn't maybe it's just more stuff coming out naturally right before your period, maybe it's a chemical pregnancy, maybe it's just normal for your body. I would say if it lasts call your doctor's office and see what they say about it.
Sorry I don't want any of this to cause you alarm...I'm just throwing different possibilities out there.

I agree with Claire, though, everyone is different. Sometimes the body can still have products of conception lingering and the first period tends to be the equalizer, from what I've heard. I also agree that you should call your doctor if you feel you need to. They usually give you guidelines as to what to look out for and when you should call them...
With my previous miscarriages, I had heavier than normal periods, but still were like normal periods (cramps, brownish to red to brownish blood.) I'm still waiting on my first period from this miscarriage...
Switching doctors! But I think I have an infection
I remember being in the emergency department and they basically put a 'nappy' on me and left me. It was awful. Before the procedure, I had to 'clean' myself and the nurse made me feel bad for passing out in the shower, as if I had done it on purpose..
Massive hugs to you, xoxo
