Even though Ive experienced 2-loss and no live births, I still have a little hope left that maybe next time will be the time I go or come close to full term.
Im seeing a fertility specialist and Im trying to be proactive in coming up with a plan for my next pregnancy. The doctors have not mentioned bedrest in first trimester, but trying to be proactive, Ive been doing some research on my own.
Next time at the doctors Ill get their opinion as well, but as soon as I find out Im pregnant, I was going to request that I be put on bed rest , if not for all most of my first trimester. Ive always miscarried before 9wks. Ive heard that if you make it through your first trimester is a major milestone.
Im just trying to do things differently to get different/better results. Not sure if this will work but Im willing to try.
Any thoughts??

We just suffered another loss at 13 weeks December 1st, it is very hard around that time of year. I think that bed rest might be good but I don't know if your doctor would go for it. Mine is very picky on that. A lot of the times they say reduce activity? I sometimes just don't get it. If you ever need to talk, I will try to listen and help in any way.

I think doing research and speaking to a specialist is an excellent idea. I had a miscarriage at 13 weeks and then I went into preterm labor with my son and had him at 26 weeks and 3 days. Sadly he passed away a few days later in the NICU. This was 6 months ago. Terrified to become pregnant again, but I am going to do any preventative maintence I can and talk to just about every specialist I can before I try and get pregnant again. I hear there is a test that they can give you to see if there is something going on that is causing you to miscarry. However, they don't like to go those until you have lost at least 3 babies. Which I think is ridiculous. I don't have any children yet and I have already lost 2 so I am demanding they give me any and all tests that they can until they figure out why I can't have healthy babies. I am a high risk patient. When I got pregnant they thought I was showing signs of preeclampsia but before they could test me, I went into labor for no reason. I know my doctor has discussed many things I could do like taking certain vitamins and excercising and eating healthy. Then when I get pregnant they are talking about giving me a progestrone shot once a week after I am 14 weeks pregnant. But I know the first trimester is the scariest to me. So I am demanding they try and do something to get me on a good note even before I get pregnant so I am more prepared. I hope you do the same.
