Miscarriage Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have experienced the traumatizing event of a miscarriage or a stillbirth. Miscarriage remains one of the most common complication of pregnancy, but that doesn't make it easy to deal with. Join the group and find support in the company of others who know what you're going through.

From what I understand they use the pill for MANY things, regulating periods, transitioning to menopause, regulating/transitioning hormones.
I had a friend that would take it in between her IF treatments and I believe she took it after her miscarriage. She has gone on to get pregnant and have a healthy girl. I also believe that she would only take 1 months worth at a time.
Good luck
I just want the bleeding to stop :-(
I was hoping someone else would have chimed in, maybe someone who had the same experience, I am just going by other ppl's experiences. But I've known multiple ppl who've used BC to regulate, even during times of TTC.
Unfortunately, this seems like your best alternative. It's much easier on your body than having a D&C.
I wish you so many good things & understand your pain.
There is a support group on here called Pregnancy after Infertility/Loss - I think it'll be a great next step, when we need it.
I work as a nurse in L&D and OB. Since my miscarriage, I have been noticing the number of women who have had them. It's pretty common for most women to have at least one miscarriage. The thing I try to remember is that most women that do miscarry tend to only have one. I can just only hope this will happen for all of us, too, since we already had the heart break.
Hugs!!
And I was bawling the other night cuz even if I have one successful pregnancy or 10 successful pregnancies, I will NEVER EVER have the joy that comes with it. I will always have fear and apprehension. I will always worry. My innocence (for this miracle) has been taken away. I know I will bond with the child, but I will fight every minute of it for fear of the worst.
I am so jealous and envious of women who get to have that comfortable easy uncompromised feeling during their pregnancy.
I understand that you're fed up with the bleeding, but your doctor did confirm that this was now your period, and he is very right that periods can be quite strange and heavy after a miscarriage.
My opinion ( but obviously this is ur choice), but I would choose not to go on the pill. The pill is to regulate ur period cycles, and this is not ur issue, as ur having periods, and if there is tissue that needs to come out, then i would prefer to let nature take it's course and allow it all to come out, rather than delaying it, otherwise the tissue come become infected, leading to more issues/complications.
In ur case the tissue is actually coming out and that's great. It's best that it does come out. Going on the pill is mainly for when u don't get ur periods and it gears up ur body for a period each month. This was my situation when I was 17. I was not having period at all, so the doctor put me on the pill, and my periods then started. When I came off them , my cycles were all over the place for at least 6-7 months.
This would happen to you, if u were on them, as soon as u come off the pill ur cycles are totally messed up for quite a while, so i wouldn't in my opinion choose to go on the pill.
However it's ur choice and do what you feel is right for you :-)
I just wanted to offer u some suport and explain what happened to me.
I wish u every luck and success in ur pregnancy journey.
As i said do what u feel is right for you, this was just my experience.

I went to the Dr last week and my HCG level was at 10 LOL. So slowly but surely going down. The week before it was 17.
I am still kinda crampy...the bleeding has minimized ALOT....I am still spotting from time to time and I am releasing alot of tiny peices of tissue. which I was told was good especially to help the levels go down. I am praying and trying to meditate and try and keep my mind off of this.
I am looking forward to becoming a mom once again. I wont let this experience stop be. I AM scared...but my faith is stronger :-)
I also feel alot of support here. All of you are so sweet and I appreciate taking the time to calm my ass down! HAHA
On a positive note....I was offered a BETTER PAYING JOB and I start on APril 1st! YAY!!!!
