After D&C, when does HCG level get back to 0?

After a D&C how long does it take for your HCG level to get back down to normal below 5?

The answer to your question varies according to person. For some people it only takes a couple weeks and for others it could take up to a couple months. Let me know if you ever want to chat or if you need more advice. The ladies at DS are here for you

After my D&C at 12 wks (I had a blighted ovum that time) they did not follow my hCG levels. I stopped bleeding after about 2 wks. My period then took 9wks to return. So unfortunately it does take a while to get back to normal. Let me know if I can help you with anything.

I am supposing that it depends on how far along you were at the time of the d&c. My baby only measured 8 wks, but I should've been around 12-14 wks. 1 week after my d&c, my Hcg level was 7728 and then the following week dropped to 2292. I have no idea what is was when I went in to the dr. for my ultrasound. I guess they didn't take it, so I don't know what my starting point was. I hope this helps and good luck in the future.

Hello, I had my D&C on the 18th of November and two weeks ago my HCG level was at 6. Yesterday I finally got my 1st period. I saw my Dr. yesterday so she could do an ultra sound to make sure everything looked good and healed ok. It looks like we can start trying again right after this period. I guess it varies from person to person. I have friends that miscarried and it only took them 4 weeks to get their 1st period. It does take some time to get back to normal, but it will happen for you. Take care.
