Topomax didnt work for me. It seems to be working for quite a few of you. My doctor said he has had great results with this med. Does anyone know of a headache specialist in Northern California? I am at my wits end. Thanks

I took topomax for 2 years. It decreased my migraines to about 1 per month (from about 1 or 2 per week) and I didn't get other kinds of headaches anymore, like sinus or tension. I quit taking it when I got pregnant with my 2nd child, and just never went back on it. (After discovering the true cause of my migraines I don't need meds anymore anyway). I remember it made coke taste flat, and I lost some weight.

I was on Topomax several years ago, but I too developed kidney stones and it did not prevent most of my headaches.

Great for weight loss But I will never go on it again. I felt like I had this big black cloud over me 24 hours a day and for some reason I started to have more migraines and I went down to the smallest dose and still felt horrible. After 2 days stopping the med. I felt like a new woman.

i have been on topamax for a month now, slowly upping my dosage. i have definite mixed feelings about it and really hope that it helps me. the brain fog side effects aren't too bad but the fatigue and finger numbness is a bit irritating.

Topamax worked GREAT for me. I was getting about 3 migraines per week. After going on topamax I was down to about 2 per month. I would recommend it to anyone.

I was taking Topomax to the point of 150 mg's 3 x's a day. It wasn't helping, so they are going to start me over on it again to see if there is a difference in the year period since I was last on it.

Hey Crzychick, thanks for the post....have you had any of these happen to you? I have been eating my hair for 30 years and have yet to experience any of this....there was even a post on the discussion board a while back and no one seemed to have had any trouble as a result of eating their hair. Just wondering.....

There have also been reports of ppl dying from blockage from the hairballs (sounds so weird, makes me think of a cat)

woow i went thru the fear that i had a hair ball , because i kept getting bloaded and had abdominal pains ... so after an endoscopy and several tests , i did nt have any , and i stopped eating as much , since i got scared from the surgery :) but yes the hair get in my gums :( it hurt

you should tell your dentist, all hair get in the gums ...

My son pulls his hair,brows and lashes and I've seen him put the hair n his mouth. The dr.said that it would not harm him unless it was really long hair and he ate huge amounts of it daily
