I love Relpax. Unfortunately, my insurance doesn\'t cover it. For a while my neurologist and my GP gave me free samples, but eventually those ran out. I don\'t notice any side effects from this medication either. The only other one that works for me (I have tried many) is Zomig. That is also not covered by my insurance.

I recently had my second pulsed radiofrequency neurotomy procedure. Although my doc actually burns the nerve, not \"stun\" it.

It is not a pleasant procedure. I won\'t lie. But it hurts a lot less than a migraine. And the effects are well worth it.

It\'s hard to \"recommend\" something because different things work for different people. For instance, my sister swears my Imitrex. Each time I tried Imitrex, however, my pain dramatically increased. I tried pretty much all the PRN meds. Maxalt and Zomig worked pretty well. However, Relpax has been the absolute best. It\'s the only one I\'ve found to quickly alleviate my pain. If others haven\'t worked for you, I\'d suggest giving it a try! Goodluck!

relpax is working for me as well,when I can afford it.Myinsurance dose not pay for this either I find that insurance dosen\'t cover but 1 medication (I have disability insurance though state)and that medication did not work for me.Insurance co says they have done studies and they know better than all my docs and they say I get to big of a perscripion 6 pills for a month no more even though I get up to 18 migrains a month.Theuir studys say its not good for you to have more than 3-4 pills a month if that for everyone.I think these would work better if our insurance companys would realize that everyone does not respond to treatment ,and our doctors know whats best on type and quanity of meds.

i tried 2 others and i found this one worked the fastest, after only one does and didn't knock me out or upset my stomach. but the only way to know if it will work for you is to try it under your md's care. :)

relpax works better in the 40mg doseage rather than the 20mg still works only as good as amerge. about 70 - 80 % headaches with 50 % rebounds for me so far right now

Relpax worked good for me but if I take it in the afternoon I have hard time falling asleep and then keep waking up at night and not being able to fall back to sleep. It does help with migraine but beacuse of this side effect I take Advil instead.

My husband has used Relpax for his Migranes. He says they dont really help him much he cant tell a difference.

Relpax worked great for me. It was like a miracle drug. I had great success with it. But the more I used it, the more I seemed to need it. My headaches were increasing frequency and I had to take more relpax to get relief. I am off all meds now and trying a new program. "Heal your Headache" by Dr. David Buchholz. Headaches are less frequent, but not 100% free

relpax didnt seem to allieviate any of my migraines, and made it hard for me to sleep and stay asleep. I tried the 40 and the 20 to no avail. I guess my migraines are immune. What I do now, is take a BC powder when I first suspect any form of headache, it doesn't completely resolve the issue but tones the pain down some. I have a low tolerance to all drugs and allergic to the ones that do any good, so.. I am stuck.. but ice packs on eyes and base of skull while bundled in a quiet dark room is what I have found to completely allieviate my migraines.

I tried a couple things too, everything that promised a quick fix to getting rid of headaches. I too didn't like Imitrex. It worsened my headaches. I didn't like Maxalt either. They lessened, but didn't help. Relpax has been the best stuff I have ever been on. But one side effect I have is it makes me drousy, so I can't take it during the day. I was put on Naproxen for daytime headaches. I was also put on Topamax for preventative. The insurance I had didn't cover any of these, so I got some samples, but I've been out for awhile and can't get anymore. I just started a new job, so I'm hoping the insurance will kick in soon and they will cover everything because the Topamax is very expensive.

Relpax was a waste of time for me, as were all of the Triptans, with the minor exception of Imitrex STATdose injection. I say "minor" because it does get rid of my migraine but only buys me about 2-3 hours before it returns. Better than nothing though.

I typically use Compazine and Migranal nasal spray as my main abortive.

The double google ads are annoying.
