Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
I've been around for a while so I can give you a few tips.
Water!! Destress before you go to bed and during the day. Vomitting can be from tension/stress. Otherwise there are items like benadryl or gravol to help you out.
Magnesium for the rest of your life. B suppliments, Coq10.
Natural pillow as some have formeldihide in it. Wake yourself up at 3am to see if you need to take an imitrex. Earlier is better.
Eat natural homemade foods (you can't trust manufactured foods as they disguise msg in labelling = spices - natural flavouring - protein - these are all msg dirivitives) Wash all fruits and veggies. No pop = citric acid is floor cleaner and migrainers are sensitive to what we eat. (my experience)
Antidepressants are important for migrainers. Narcotic painkillers can make migrianes worse. Use sparingly and only on the worst migraines. They will lose effectiveness. They are NOT the answer.
Never stop trying. Everyone is different and unique.
Hope some of this helps. All the best to you

I will make a go without so many pills to make sure I'm not dependant and so I can ensure they are not losing effectiveness. I think it is pain that we have to learn to manage with in our lives.
But you should try vitamin B2. It is used to treat headaches. I have been taking it for over a year and it seems to help some. It's not a common B vitamin and I have had trouble finding it in many drug stores, but I think it's worth a shot! I have only found it in CVS and in the Christmas Tree Shop (which was very surprising!)
Good luck!
