Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.

@rcski10- what type of doctor are you seeing? Regular PCP? Neurologist? Headache specialist? I know you said you tried everything, but depending on what type of doctor you are seeing for them, I highly doubt that. And for a doctor to tell you to "talk it out" is pretty crappy. Yes, stress can be a trigger, and decreasing stress can help, but it's not the cause, and will not stop your migraines. I always recommend that people see a headache specialist because PCP's don't know a thing, period. Neurologists only know about 40% more, but headache specialists are really up to date on the latest research, latest treatments and such. If you don't see one, you may want to try to find one in your area.
Keeping track of your migraines might help. You might see a pattern in terms of food triggers, weather triggers, allergies, etc. That might give you another place to start to lessen your headaches. And last quick piece of advice is: don't take painkillers (even OTC like excedrin and advil) more than 2x per week for your migraines. More than that and you will make your headaches even worse.
As for doctors...if you are happy with your treatment from your doctor, that is great. You don't need another. But if it ever gets to the point where you're told you have tried everything there is, just know that's not true. Even though they are neurologists, they still don't specialize in headaches, and they are limited in the full range of migraine treatments. There is always something else out there. :)
