]my hand is numb?

i just had a visual migraine.... now my hand is numb..... is this from that??????????? im so scared :am i havinf a stroke????????

Hi -- didn't see your post earlier. I've never had numbness in my hand with a migraine, but everyone is different.

Sounds like you are worried... did you get to a doctor???? Not worth taking a chance, if you haven't gone, maybe you should go.

I went to the ER and the doctor told me the numbness is most likely from the migraine. She didn't want to do a CT scan because I had already had one about a month ago and it was clear. After I told her I have a history of migraines she didn't seem concerned at all. :/.

Aren't migraines "fun?" I used to think they were just bad headaches.

My left hand, thumb, left side of face, even the left side of my tongue goes numb right before a migraine. the effects sometimes last a while and sometimes I get the numbness in my thumb without a migraine. It's not very common, but it is part of the prodrome.

My whole left side went numb. They did a scan just to say it was caused by my migraine.

Last time I hand a migraine attack both my hands were superficially numb. Like I had had a local anaesthetic on the tops of my hands.I thought I was having a stroke but then remembered that only one side is effected with a stroke usually which reassured me alittle. Its frightening though I'm with you. Take care
