Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
I get vertigo, dizziness, and low blood pressure, also dehydration. I call that my "Aura". It can be followed by a migraine headache, but not always. So, yes, I do understand what you have experienced.
I call them my "episodes", they can last as short as 1 day, up to 6 days. They make me feel very very sick! I just have to let them pass, there's no rushing them......
Good luck to you!
I first read about silent migraines on http://headacheandmigrainenews.com/ and continue to learn a lot about migraines through the migraine_blog Twitter feed and FreeMyBrain.com (an especially interesting post on that blog: You're Not Crazy--You Have Migraines).
Big triggers for me are: caffeine, stress, hormone, weather change and barometric pressures.
I hope this helps and you feel better soon!
Beta blocker should help you out but it is likely to make you sleepy. Best of luck. Great that you have no pain.
