Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
Let us know how they work out for you!
So I got this migraine about 2pm which is rare for me, I've noticed if I don't get a migraine by 10am I typically won't get them at all. Anyway, I'm disappointed to report that neither the pain level nor the timeframe were any different.
So disappointed! I know they aren't supposed to be a miracle treatment or we all would just buy these & be done with medications etc but I was really hoping that they would maybe decrease the time duration of the migraine or at least reduce the pain level even maybe 1 click, but no.
The only goal of the glasses is to filter out light that can cause a migraine. I'm sorry it didn't work for you. But maybe don't give up on them since you already have them.
I wanted to follow up with a separate report because although I posted "during" my migraine the one thing that I noticed that was definitely clear is that although it didn't stop the pain or the pain level the duration of the migraine itself WAS cut by a decent amount. I typically will have a migraine for no less & no more than 3hrs. I can almost set a clock by it! This started @ 2pm & was completely done by 3:55-4pm. I'm actually REALLY excited about that! However, because the migraine started @ 2pm which is very rare, maybe the time it started had something to do with how long it lingered? Not sure but I have to look at all plausible theories. I also remember I had a Greek salad that had Feta which I LOVE but try to stay away from due to it being on the list of aged cheeses that migraine suffers shouldn't eat.
