Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
I have had a margarine for over a week. I have missed one and half days of work because of it. I still have one and I wish I didn't have to work tomorrow but I need to go.... I went to the doctor twice they tried something called DHC and magnesium that worked for a bit at the time this was on Thursday on Friday the migraine came back, I did another round of DCH and a shot of anti nausea that helped at the time but then it came back.... I have been taking my onset medication and codeine at night. I am worried to take anymore medication because I don't want a rebound headache. I have tired ice packs, taking naps, and it works at the time but then it comes back. Please help I am tired of being in pain. Do you have any recommendation that I could try?

if 2 rounds of the dhc didn't help, and your meds at home aren't helping, maybe it's time to go to the hospital? also, i know that my neurologist will often call in a course of steroids if i have an intractable headache, and that will usually knock it out and avoid me having to go to the er. maybe you could see if that's an option if that's something your doctor does?

Thank you for your advice. It seems to be getting a little bit better. The doctor did say something about steroids but he seem to want to try other things first. If possible I would like to not go to the ER. But if it comes down to it I will. If it keeps bothering me then I will talk to my doctor about other options. Thank you again.

Have you had an Head MRI? If not, you should have one to find out if there is a more serious underlying issue.
