Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.

Hi, Woke up with sick migraine. IBS pain in lower stomach, all seems tied up. Now horrid back ground headache. I get so fed up with it all. Yesterday went to Doctors as woke dizzy, got medication. Told him about awful headaches but not interested. Go on holiday Monday so hope to be alright. It all freaks me out. Sorry to go on.

That doesn't seem like a good visit with your doctor, ignoring your headache. Your headache will only make the IBS worse. I have both conditions too. Are you on any meds for your headaches/migraines? I take Topamax as a preventive along with following vitamins which help a lot. Vitamin B2, B complex, magnesium, and Co Q10.

Will your doctor give you a Tordal shot in his office to help with your headache? That has always helped me to stop a bad headache. Also a triptan if it is a migraine. My doctor has given me a prescription for Promethizine 25 mg for the stomach upset. You don't need stomach problems from a headache with IBS.

I'm really pro-active with my doctors in getting what I needed in order to feel better. If your doctor isn't listening to you maybe you need a new doctor. Have you seen a neurologist yet?

I Too Have IBS and when these migranes hit my stomach goes crazy , its like torture . I wonder f there is a connection between ibs and migranes
