Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
Drink twice as much when you get here. With our low humidity we dry up fast. :)
You are lucky, it will be down to 104 on Thursday.and high 90's the rest of the time with a little rain here and there (almost never all day).
I need to take it every 12 hours, often I forget. That throws off my hormones and I get a migraine.
I am getting closer though. I now know I need to take just less than 1/2 gram of progesterone or I sleep more than 9 hours at night. :)
Now, if I can remember to take the hormones as soon as I get up and at dinner time, I would be doing MUCH better. AND DRINK more during the day.
Those two things alone would cut down on more than 50% of my migraines.
Also, I never could take progesterone. It always triggered Migraines. So, I haven't taken it for over 30 years and I don't seem to have any problems ...from that anyway.
Here is a new one - I have been trying to get more and more water into me and it doesn't seem to be working. It occurred to me, perhaps I need electrolytes. So now I am drinking Gatorade. We will see what happens. Of course, with all the chemicals in that I am that isn't my trigger. LOL
Does anyone have any ideas about electrolytes?
Dan- have a good trip!
