Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
In the past 5 years I have bought over 40 different pillows. I've had pillows with coils, water pillows, memory foam..blah, blah, blah. My currant configuration is two memory foam pillows. The curved on on the bottom, and a regular shaped one on top. That's helped the most. When my migraines are really intense (7+) a pillow that doesn't add pressure to my head really helps.
So there was one pillow I swore I was never going to buy, because it was too expensive (IMO) and to me, seemed like a gimmick, which was the MyPillow. My mother bought one, and I borrowed it from her, because I was just curious. (BTW, my mother is on that same quest as me looking for a pillow). I was shocked how good it actually is. So I bought 2 of them myself. I let my sister try them, who is also a migraine sufferer like myself and my mother, and she really likes them too.
I do wish I gave it a try a long time ago. The pillow is still pricey, but I paid a lot more buying the other 40 pillows that I NEVER use. And there is NO pressure on my head anymore.
Just thought I would share in case there was anyone else out there like me looking for a pillow that doesn't contribute to their headaches, and even feels a bit comforting when they have one.

Just an FYI....on Amazon, the pillows are about $60-$85. One the MyPillow website, they can be about $50.

Ok, so I just got a 3rd pillow, which is the BLUE level, which is supposed to be for men, but I needed a pillow hight enough so I wouldn't need to sleep on two pillows anymore. In one word: PERFECT
So, I'm going to have to space bag all my other pillows. The space bag is perfect because it really does suck all the air out.
Does anyone know if there is a place that would take pillows? I mean, I would hate to throw them all away. All those 40 pillows....I slept on them once, and they had pillow covers on them. And I just don't have a place for all of them.
So yeah, if you are not used to sleeping with 2 pillows, the blue and red WILL NOT be comfy. In that case, the white and green would be better options. If you are not sure where you might fit in with the pillows and what level you would be, call customer service.
The website does accept returns, I believe they have a 60 day guarantee on the pillows. My thought was that I would get a few different levels at the same time, and I would ship back the ones I didn't want.
I hope you do get the one that works best for you, because it really is a good pillow.
